SOIL: Grows well in organic potting mix coco peat/well-drained soil, loamy soil & waterlogged soil.
MAINTENANCE: Very Low
WATERING: Misting the leaves weekly or watering the plant once in a week.
PROPAGATION: Done through stem cuttings.
REPOTTING: Should be done, when you find plants becoming bushy in appearance. Shift the plants to a somewhat spacious pot for stable growth.
PRUNING: The Zig-Zag plant requires little pruning, trim the old or troubling leaves yearly once.

- It is one of the low-cost ornamental plants.
- Tea has been brewed from Devil’s backbone leaves to cure Asthma, persistent coughing, laryngitis, mouth ulcers & venereal diseases.
- Place the plant in a pot size of 10 to 12 inches in diameter, filled with the required amount of well-drained soil or potting mix organic compost till the neck of the pot.
- Water the plant when the topsoil of the plant is dry to touch. Don’t overwater the plants; it may lead to root rot.
- This plant requires in full sunlight for at least 6 hours.
- Apply any organic fertilizer. Use cow dung manure or goat manure for nutrient enrichment you can buy from our online plant store and make your plants disease free.
- Avoid watering and fertilizer application in the rainy season.
