Qualifying Examinations and Eligibility

A Pass in the Higher Secondary Course (HSC) Academic stream or Vocational stream or its equivalent qualifying examination with 10+2 years of schooling with minimum average percentage as given below will alone be eligible. i) Higher Secondary Course (HSC) (Academic) / Equivalent Examination Forty percent of the seats are set apart for the candidates who have qualified under Academic Stream.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have studied any one of the following groups are eligible.
Group I: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
Group II: Biology, Physics, Chemistry with any one of the following subjects as fourth (elective) subject viz., Computer Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Nutritional & Dietetics and Home Science.
Group II (A): Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. ii) Higher Secondary Course (HSC) (Vocational) / Equivalent Examination Sixty per cent of the seats are set apart for the candidates who are qualified under Vocational Stream.
Such candidates shall not be considered under the general merit list prepared for the candidates with Higher Secondary Course (HSC) (Academic) / Equivalent Examination. Candidates who passed Higher Secondary Course (HSC) under Vocational Stream and studied Biology and Agricultural Practices as vocational subject including theory and practical are eligible for Diploma in Agriculture / Diploma in Horticulture

Selection criteria

The selection criteria are as follows:

  • Minimum of 50% score in the public examination
  • Selection will be made either through written test or interview or by both
  • The selection committee's decision will be final

Enclosure

The candidates are directed to enclose the following certificates along with the application: Photocopy of

  • 10th Mark Sheet
  • HSC / Equivalent Mark Sheet
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Community Certificate.
  • Aadhar Card

General instruction

The courses will commence tentatively by August onwards

  • The Institute aims at maintaining the highest standard of discipline among the students, students should abide both general and special rules applicable for them prescribed by the institute
  • Regular attendance is compulsory and activities of the students will be monitored constantly
  • Keeping and using cellular phones is strictly prohibited inside the institute campus. The students are not supposed to bring cameras, Walkman's etc
  • RAGGING: The candidates should not indulge or participate in any kind of ragging. If they are found to have indulged in ragging in the past, or noticed later, the candidates will be removed from the roll of the institution whatever stage of study and criminal action will be taken against the candidates.
  • The campus is "Tobacco Free" and "Liquor Free". Any violation of this will result in dismissal from the program
  • Any act of disobedience or misconduct will be viewed seriously and the students are liable for disciplinary action including termination
  • In case any candidate is found to have furnished any false information or certificate etc or is found to be have withheld or concealed information in her / his application form , she /he shall be debarred from admission and if already admitted, the admission will be cancelled without prejudice to other disciplinary action
